July 2021 Round-up

July has been a month for celebrations. Okay, football may not have come home, but there was so much to be excited about! The Google Core Update rolled out at the beginning of the month, the Olympic Games have begun and Team GB already has some gold medals in the bag.

What’s new with Tillison Consulting? Well, we’ve added a new member to our impressive team of experts. We’re also happy to report that we’re all back in the office full time Monday to Friday. We’ve also continued to produce some awesome content, read on to find out!

On-page and off-page SEO

We all know that Google likes to constantly make changes, updates and modifications to its search engine algorithm. However, one thing that will always reign true; adopting best practice SEO is essential for any website to rank highly in the search results. But SEO takes shape in many ways, this includes both on-page and off-page.

In our essential guide, we break down the difference between on-page and off-page SEO. With some examples of each including digital PR, link building and writing quality content, our blog gives you the perfect insight into how you can boost your search rankings.

Link building myths

Meet James

Tillison is always thrilled to introduce a new individual to the team! This month we had the pleasure of welcoming James aboard as a Digital Campaign Manager.

Graduating from the University of Brighton with a degree in Film and Screen Studies, James has been developing his skills in digital marketing ever since.

We’re really looking forward to working with James and unleashing his creative skills, producing some awesome results for our clients.

Optimising video for SEO

With new software and programs constantly being rolled out, video production has become much easier in recent years. However, this has led to an increase in competition, making it more difficult to achieve higher rankings.

As is the case with trying to rank well, you should look towards a solid SEO strategy.

In our guide to help you get started, we showcase how, coupled with quality content, you can be sure to achieve fantastic results through video SEO.

Local SEO for colleges

We know all too well how difficult it can be for educational facilities to attract students and increase enrolments.

Local SEO is an area which can easily be tapped into to make sure your college captures the attention of future attendees. In our guide, we answer the question ‘What is local SEO and how can it be utilised by colleges?’.

Remember, we’re a local SEO agency and specialise in helping education institutions boost admissions so get in touch today!

What’s next?

In July we finally saw our first proper heatwave of the summer and we look forward to hopefully another in early August!

Team Tillison are looking ahead to continue researching new techniques at the forefront of digital marketing to deliver excellent results for our clients!
