Facebook Business Suite Launch Simplifies Content Management on Facebook and Instagram

Facebook Business Suite has officially launched. Aimed at bringing together Facebook and Instagram publishing, the mobile app and desktop interface combine publishing, messaging and analytics into a single dashboard.

The goal of Facebook Business Suite is to simplify the management of content on both social media platforms.

Right now it’s geared towards small businesses, but it will be available to all businesses with a Page on Facebook in 2021. Facebook has also said that it will expand to include Messenger and WhatsApp data.

Page owners are now able to:

  • Manage and publish posts on Facebook and Instagram from the same user interface
  • Use a common inbox for messages and notifications from both platforms
  • Set up personalised saved replies for common questions
  • View analytics and insights for both sites in the same place
  • Boost posts or create ads to get more people to engage with your brand

Why now?

The suite comes after small businesses asked for simpler tools that brought together content, messaging, boosted posts and analytics.

It also comes at a time when the coronavirus pandemic is changing the way people behave online. In a study undertaken by Facebook and Deloitte, 40% of people said they have increased their use of social media and online messaging for product and business recommendations.

The Facebook Business Suite intends to help small businesses produce content relevant to their audiences, and respond to them quickly.

How to get started with Facebook Business Suite

Log into the Facebook account associated with your business. If you’re eligible, Facebook will redirect you to Business Suite when you visit business.facebook.com on a desktop computer.

Those using the Pages Manager App on mobile will see the option to opt in to the new platform. If you don’t use the app, you can simply download the new platform from the iOS and Android app stores.
