Team Tillison and Nigel Prior Bring Curry Business Back with a Bang for 2019

Curry Business Wickham - Tillison Consulting

Tillison Consulting brought businesses together for an evening of great food and even better networking, with the first Curry Business event of 2019 at Kuti’s of Wickham, Fareham.

More than 20 Hampshire professionals joined Team Tillison, alongside host Nigel Prior, Area Coordinator for Meon Valley Neighbourhood Watch, for casual networking and fundraising for The Highlands Hub on February 19th. Following a delicious Indian feast, attendees entered a raffle and raised a total of £200 for the Fareham community café.

Mark Tillison, Managing Director at Tillison Consulting, said: ‘We wanted to start Curry Business off with a bang for 2019, and it’s safe to say that we thoroughly enjoyed the first event of the year at Kuti’s of Wickham.

‘There has always been a great turnout whenever Nigel has hosted an event for us, and it was a genuine delight to see several new and friendly faces amongst some of our regular attendees, especially those who had travelled from every corner of Hampshire for the evening.’

Host Nigel added: ‘With 22 business people and locals attending, Kuti’s of Wickham provided excellent service and food, as well as a prize for the raffle.’

Opening the café in 2011, the team at The Highlands Hub aspire to create an environment which enables all people from the community to easily access the advice and services they need to address the challenges of everyday life.

Penny Raymond, Manager at The Highlands Hub, said: ‘We are very grateful for the £200 raised by everyone who came along to Curry Business – it’s definitely a benefit and will help with the everyday running of the Hub.

‘The atmosphere was also very nice, and everybody made me and the Highlands Hub team feel very welcome. Curry Business is definitely a great idea for an event!’

Nigel adds: ‘The Highlands Hub is much more than a community café – it’s run by volunteers for those in some need of support in their community to help them progress in life, as well as being a safe place welcoming all with coffee, sandwiches and cakes.’

Hailed as Hampshire’s tastiest business networking event, Curry Business is dedicated to creating a professional environment with a fun and casual distinction, with proceeds from each evening going to a deserving local charity.

Mark adds: ‘With the wealth of business networking opportunities now in the Hampshire area, there is so much pressure on local business to be omnipresent and standing on ceremony at all times. With Curry Business, there are no presentations, no speeches, no obligations – just your presence is needed, and perhaps also an appetite for some of the best Asian cuisine on the south coast!’

Tillison Consulting are now looking ahead to the next Curry Business events in March and April, teaming up with Pure Human Resources for an evening at Koh Thai Tapas, Romsey in aid of Youth In Romsey on March 13th. We will then be hosting Curry Business ourselves at Shalimar, Waterlooville on April 30th, with proceeds going to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
