We’ve organised a Curry Business Networking Event as well as attending a number of Business Expos.
Our monthly charity networking event took place this month in the picturesque village of Wickham. Partnering with Nigel Prior, a key figure in the local community, we gathered together and raised funds over curry for two incredible local causes.
The two beneficiaries were The Highlands Hub who offer a local hub for their local community and Mug Shot Cafe who are offering gainful and substantial employment for people with disabilities who otherwise struggle to get an interview. Networking in a relaxed and friendly environment is what Curry Business is all about. Raising a total of £100 for these fabulous causes.
This was the first of the HBS events and we were lucky enough to join them for their inaugural event which by all accounts was a roaring success.
For a first time event, they managed to convene an impressive array of businesses, speakers and attendees alike.
From award-winning entrepreneur and author, Alison Edgar and Apprentice Winner turned successful businessman Mark Wright to top motivational speaker Brad Burton The HBS featured a regal line up of some of the top and most influential voices in the business world.
The Hampshire Business Show was also able to draw in some of the south’s key businesses as well as a large and extensive crowd, so it worked well as a networking opportunity with potential clients. Overall, for us it was a wonderful event which we look forward to attending again.
The Woman in Business Expo was another first for us at Tillison but an event we were excited to be a part of nonetheless and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Our Managing Director, Mark Tillison, was also able to deliver a talk to a packed audience and in his 30-minute slot he was able to share some industry secrets and knowledge about using Digital Marketing to grow your sales in 2020.
The WIBExpo2019 had the likes of Baroness Karen Brady CBE and Baroness Mone of Mayfair OBE as their keynote speakers so to be given the opportunity to talk at an event like this alongside them was an honour we at Tillison couldn’t turn down.
Celebrating women in all aspects of business is something we at Tillison feel very strongly about and to come together with businesses from all over the country for this very purpose has been a great pleasure for us.
At the start of November, we returned to the Ageas Bowl in Southampton for the Southampton Business Expo. This event was Southampton’s biggest business show and ultimate networking opportunity.
At this event, we were lucky enough to have the opportunity for our Managing Director, Mark, to deliver a talk on Google Ads. Throughout this talk Mark revealed avoidable pitfalls and shared the secret sauce to running effective Google Ads campaigns, including where Google is headed next and how your business can generate leads and sales in 2020.
Join us for the final Curry Business event of the year, an evening of networking, fundraising and delicious Asian cuisine at Shalimar in Waterlooville on November 27th at 7pm.
Curry Business is dedicated to business networking, but with a distinction. Getting together with business owners and relaxing over delicious Asian food and drink, we are also raising money for The Breast Cancer Haven. Register for your tickets here
