Digital marketing never slows down, and August has been as busy as ever. Team Tillison has been working hard on creating campaigns and websites that convert while attending online summits and conferences.

There’s been no shortage of news this month either. WordPress 5.5 has been rolled out, and Google has updated its activity cards for jobs, recipes and products.

WordPress 5.5 finally released

Stop the presses! WordPress has officially launched version 5.5. With the latest Gutenberg editor and automatic updates for plugins and themes, it’s sure to make life easier.

Of course, the roll out hasn’t been without its challenges. Some sites have had problems caused by a lack of jQuery Migrate in the update, causing them to break. Issues can be fixed, though, so there’s no need to worry.

Google updates activity cards

Have you searched for jobs, products or recipes on Google recently? If so, you’ve probably noticed the new activity cards.

These three categories have seen a redesign that includes rich media and more detailed information.
