The Challenge

Providing letting and property management services to landlords and tenants across Southampton and the surrounding areas, Belvoir Lettings Southampton is an independently owned franchise of Belvoir Lettings, award-winning UK lettings and estate agents. We were approached by the Managing Director of Belvoir Lettings Southampton to help him produce a digital marketing strategy and to find a partner to work with that understood his business goals.

Belvoir Lettings Southampton’s Managing Director Brian Linehan knew that traditional marketing techniques were not getting him the results that he needed for his business. After first speaking to our Business Development Manager at Tillison Consulting, Brian met with our SEO Specialists to plan a strategy that matched his budget.

The Strategy

The overall strategy was to improve the visibility of Belvoir Lettings Southampton’s website through Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).  In the initial consultation with Brian, it was agreed that we would target a small number of keywords that already featured in Google rankings, albeit on page 4 or below, and which would also attract local search traffic to the website. The search terms chosen were location-specific, critical for an Estate Agents SEO project, and our Specialists knew that by improving these rankings we would generate additional traffic to the website and ultimately more enquiries and sales for Brian and his team.

The Results

We began working with Belvoir Lettings Southampton in March 2014, with primary keywords ranking on pages 4-6 of Google. By January 2015, those keywords were on the first page of Google and generating 180% more organic website traffic and plenty of enquiries for the company.

In addition to the extra traffic created, we also configured Google Analytics so that the number of visits could be tracked more effectively in the future, giving Belvoir Lettings Southampton more meaningful data and measurement such as where customers come from when they visit the site, what medium they used and what pages are the best at converting visitors into enquiries.
