The new and improved version of Moz’s Page Authority is being launched on 30 September 2020. As with every new version, Page Authority 2.0 will give you more accurate predictions of how your web pages will rank in SERPs.

What is Moz Page Authority?

Moz Page Authority is a tool developed by software company Moz. It predicts how well a web page will rank on search engine results pages. The idea behind it is that you will have an insight into the performance of your pages in SERPs.

What is a good Page Authority?

Your score will be measured on a 100-point scoring system, with 1 being the lowest and 100 the highest score you can achieve. Moz updates their algorithm, which means that you may see your score fluctuate from time to time.

What is the Moz bar?

The Moz bar is a tool that analyses all the information on a web page and gives you a web page score. It will also be able to tell you other information about the web page such as:

  • The web page title
  • Meta description
  • Meta keywords

This is a great way to measure your page’s score against your competitors. It will help you improve your own score, helping you to rank higher in SERPs!

Page Authority vs Domain Authority

What is the difference, you ask? They were both developed by Moz to help web pages to predict where they could rank. Both have been serving the SEO community for a number of years.

While both help measure a page’s ability to rank, there is a slight difference. Domain Authority measures the strength of entire domains and subdomains, whereas Page Authority shows you the performance of each individual web page.

How to improve your Page Authority

Using the Moz toolbar will help you to view your score. It is a great place to start and will help you to understand if you need to make changes for improvement. Other ways to improve:

  • Create engaging and readable content
  • Ensure your content is updated regularly
  • Using keywords with high search volumes
  • Make sure your content will add value to your readers queries
