Town or Country Host an Indian Feast at Curry Business Southampton

Curry Business Southampton October 2018 - Tillison Consulting

On October 30th, 2018, serviced accommodation providers Town or Country hosted Tillison Consulting’s latest Curry Business networking event in Southampton.

The monthly event was held at the recently re-opened Kuti’s Brasserie, where a delicious Indian buffet was prepared for the 13 business professionals in attendance who helped raise £123 for the Wessex branch of Breast Cancer Haven.

Curry Business is organised by the team here at Tillison Consulting, who are dedicated to creating a professional networking atmosphere with a fun and casual distinction.

On top of the delicious food served at Kuti’s Brasserie, the evening included a charity raffle and entertainment from table magician Charlie Price.

Shaun Farrell, Business Development Manager at Tillison Consulting, adds: ‘We always love teaming up with Sharon and the Town or Country team for Curry Business. It was great to see faces both new and familiar at Curry Business Southampton.’

Sharon Wood, Business Development & Partner Relationship Manager at Town or Country, says: ‘This was our fifth time hosting Curry Business, and each time it gets better and better. The food was fantastic and it was a great opportunity not only to catch up with fellow local professionals, but also to raise a great bit of cash for the excellent work being done by Breast Cancer Haven.’

Breast Cancer Haven is a national charity offering free emotional, physical and practical support to anyone affected by breast cancer.

Sally Hillyear, Fundraising Manager for Breast Cancer Haven, says: ‘I am delighted to have been chosen as Curry Business’ charity for October and nominated by Town or Country. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so it has been the perfect month, enabling me to raise vital awareness – in particular to men who need to be checking their breasts every month like women.

‘The money raised will enable us to continue to help people locally with breast cancer through emotional and physical support at our centre in Titchfield.’

Hosted in locations across Hampshire, Curry Business has helped Tillison Consulting raise in excess of £5,500 for local causes including No Limits, The Murray Parish Trust and Cafe Imbizo.

Tillison Consulting are now looking ahead to the final Curry Business of 2018, and the first one to ever be hosted in Southsea. Portsmouth daily newspaper The News will be taking on hosting duties at Kassia from 7pm, with proceeds from the night going to Rowans Hospice.

Shaun says: ‘It’s been more than three years since we last held Curry Business in Portsmouth, so we’re hoping to see both new and familiar faces as we finally bring Curry Business to Southsea.

‘If you’ve never been before: Curry Business is a social evening with no agenda other than to enjoy the company of other businesses while supporting worthy causes. There are no subscriptions, no memberships, no commitments – if you gain some business from it, consider it a bonus!’
