On Wednesday 11th October 2017 in Chandler’s Ford, £90 was generously raised for Cancer Research UK through the efforts of Tillison Consulting and Peter Green Furnishers, who kindly hosted the event.
Within the Portsmouth and Southampton business community, Tillison Consulting organise a monthly curry business event that involves a pleasant evening of chat, fantastic Indian food and networking with other Hampshire-based businesses, whilst giving much-needed support to a charity.
Nick Johnson, Local Fundraising Manager for Cancer Research UK says: ‘The curry business event was a wonderful help for our ‘Southampton Beats Cancer’ campaign and I just want to thank Tillison Consulting for organising the event and not forgetting Peter Green Furnishers too, for hosting the event at their coffee shop.’’
At the curry business event, mouth-watering Indian food was enjoyed, including complimentary drinks for the main courses.
Cancer Research UK’s vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured with an ambition to see 3 in 4 people surviving cancer for 10 years or more by 2034. Cancer Research UK are working to prevent cancer, diagnose earlier, develop new treatments and optimise existing treatments to make them more effective.
