Modern Mirror Design's Operations Manager first approached Tillison Consulting in September 2013, seeking help on improving the brand presence of the website and more importantly, to increase sales. He also needed to find a company that they could work with over the long-term and one which would help them to become one of the biggest home decor eCommerce stores in the UK, at least for mirrors and home accessories.

Integrated Digital Marketing Strategy for Home Decor

The initial strategy was to increase the revenue of the business and in doing so create a cash surplus that could be invested back into the business. This initial work consisted of setting up and managing Google AdWords and Google Shopping campaigns for the company that drove potential customers through to their website.

Once Google AdWords and Shopping campaigns were delivering a good amount of sales and increasing turnover, a more integrated home decor marketing strategy was devised by Tillison’s Senior Strategist. He recommended a more holistic approach to increase traffic to the home furnishings website and to adopt brand awareness and engagement strategies to help corner a large part of a very competitive home decor market. This consisted of improving their organic rankings through an ongoing SEO project, improving their presence on Social Media platforms as well as continuing to drive sales through the PPC strategy.

In the first year of the project, the marketing strategy for home decor specialists paid handsome returns. Tillison increased Modern Mirror Design's monthly sales by 274%. This trend continued in to the second year when Tillison combined Social Media with SEO for the Magento-based website, AdWords and Google Shopping, Overall sales continued to increase by a further 118%. In addition to this, organic website traffic has increased by 125% each month and the targeted SEO keywords are now in the top 3 positions in the Google organic rankings.
